What is imperialism? When the sphere of influence is expanded.
What was the new market? Sugarcane.
What is annexation? New territory to an existing country.
What triggered World War 1? The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.
What was happening to citizens in World War 1? Men were drafted.
What is a reparation? payment for economic suffering.
What did the treaty of Versailles propose? The end of the Great War.
What was Wilson's program for peace? he was prepared with his 14 points.
What was the league of nations purpose? A world organization to endure peace.
Why did the government sell liberty bonds? To help finance the war.
Why were immigrants restricted? Because of spies and espionage.
Did America have plans for returning soldiers. No.
Did "blacks" have a position in the war? Not really, they were segregated and rarely fought.
Who were the allies in World War 1? They were America, France, Russia, Great Britain, and Italy.
Who were the central powers in World War 1? They were Germany, and Austria-Hungary.
What was the Russian Revolution? When the Bolsheviks set up a communist state and when Russians gave up.
Who destroyed the Lusitania and what was it? It was a British ship that got destroyed by a German U-boat attack, which was a counter blockade.
