Harriet Tubman Abolitionist and Underground Railroad conductor who helped hundreds of slaves escape to freedom.
Abraham Lincoln The 16th President of the US, he wrote the Gettysburg Address.
John Brown Abolitionist who led a raid on Harper's Ferry in 1859.
Jefferson Davis President of the Confederate States of America from 1861 - 1865.
Robert E. Lee Army officer who commanded the Confederate army during the Civil War.
Ulysses S. Grant Commander of the Union army, and later 18th President of the US.
Clara Barton Nurse for the Union forces during the Civil War, later founded the American Red Cross.
