Jazz Age Another name for the decade of the 1920s when the jazz style of music became widely known and popular.
Great Migration The movement of African Americans from farming areas in the South to big cities in the North.
migrant worker Seasonal workers who move from place to place to harvest crops.
root The origin of something.
prevent To make someone not do something.
