What did the British do on the seas to the US? The British would take men by force to make them serve in the British army.
What is the Embargo Act? The US restricted trade with the England and France to try to hurt them,
What did the British do to make things difficult in the Western frontier? The British were encouraging the Native Americans to raid US settlements.
What was Tecumseh's goal? The goal was to unite all the Indians and oppose forced relocation by the Americans,
Who were the war hawks? They were the young members of congress. Their goal was to stop British influence among the Native Americans
Who were the federalist? They opposed the war of 1812 because they felt it would disrupt trade with other countries.
What was the weaknesses of the US navy at the beginning of the war? They only had 12 ships in their fleet.
What were the British doing for US to declare war on the British? The British refused to stop seizing ships that were trading with France.
How did the war of 1812 help the US? Manufacturing increased in the USA and gained more land.
