Legal Acts that support Civil Rights

Brown Vs. BOE A court case that determined that "separate but equal" education is unconstitutional.
14th Amendment All people born in the U.S. are U.S. citizens and have equal protection
15th Amendment States can not deny anyone the right to vote based on their race
24th Amendment Voting can not be denied based on poll taxes.
Voting Rights Act of 1965 This law ended formal and informal barriers to African- Americans
Civil Rights Act of 1964 Makes discrimination outlawed
poll tax and literacy tests designed to limit African Americans from voting.
