What is velocity? | Velocity is the direction and acceleration of an object. |
What is speed | Speed is a distance of unit traveled of time. |
Explain displacement. | Displacement is the change in position from the start to finish . |
What is distance | Distance is the velocity traveled from the start of an objects position. |
Explain acceleration. Tell three ways an object can accelerate. | Acceleration is the speed either increasing or decreasing or if the object comes to a stop. |
Explain why deceleration is also acceleration. | Deceleration is also acceleration because when you accelerate your going away from the starting point and deceleration is going back to the starting point so it's accelerating backwards. |
What does a flat line on a distance/time graph represent? | It indicates if the object is moving at a constant speed or if it's stopped for a certain amount of time. |
Greater slope up means ____________ on a distance/time graph. | Greater slope up means speeding up on a distance/time graph. |
Greater slope down means ____________ on a distance/time graph. | Greater slope down means slowing down on a distance/time graph. |
What does a flat line on a velocity/time graph represent? | That the object is at a stop or at a constant speed. |
What does an upward slope on a velocity/time graph represent? | The velocity is increasing. |
What does a downward slope on a velocity/time graph represent? | That the velocity is decreasing. |
What does constant velocity mean? | It's going in the same direction and speed. |
Tell three ways velocity can change. | It can go backwards, forwards, or curve. |
If an object’s mass increases, its acceleration will ______________. | If an object’s mass increases, its acceleration will decrease. |
Force = _________ x ____________ | Force = M/Mass x A/Acceleration |
What are unbalanced forces? | Unbalanced forces are changes in the position, speed or direction of the object to which it is applied. |
