The Berlin Airlift was a military operation that brought food and other supplies into West Berlin by air.
The Berlin Airlift was created to prevent starvation in Berlin.
The Soviet Union put a blockade on the supplies in Germany, preventing them from getting essential supplies.

The Cold War was the stand-off between the US and Soviet Union that lasted from 1945-1990.
The two countries that were superpowers during the Cold War was the Soviet Union and the United States.

A symbolic wall dividing eastern and western Europe was the Iron Curtain.
