In civil cases who claims a loss? A Plantiff

What is an INJUNCTION? A Court Order To Halt A Person Or A Group To Stop An Action.
Civil cases start by what? A Complaint Filed By A Layer.
What is a SUMMONS? An Order To Go To Court.
Who do the SUMMONS go to? The Defendent
The complaints in the court are also know as what? Pleadings
What is DISCOVERY? It is when each side gathers facts before a trail.
Trials are most likely heard by a what? Judge
Trials are sometimes heard by a what? Jury
What are criminal cases? Punishment for an offence against person or society.
What is ARRAIGNMENT? When a deffendent is charged and has to enter a plea.
What is NO CONTEST? When someone doesn't admit guilt and will not fight the prosecution's case.
What is PENAL CODE? Sets punishment for each crime.
What is PLEA BARGINING? Agrees to plead guilty but to a lesser charge.
What is CROSS-EXAMINING? A witness must answer to both prosecution and defence.
