Anglo-Americans a person from England that has settled in America
Creole French speaking, Catholic speaking
Acadians French speaking, Roman Catholic religion, farmers, anti-British (did not like the British), known as Cajuns, settled in the swamps and prairies of Louisiana
Napoleon Bonaparte Frenchman that negotiated deal with Thomas Jefferson to sell the land owned by the French for $15 million (5 cents an acre). This land transaction is known as the Louisiana Purchase.
Thomas Jefferson the President of the United States. He negotiated the Louisiana Purchase with Napoleon Bonaparte. He hired Lewis and Clark to explore the huge area of land known as Louisiana.
