Equal Rights Amendment 1972 proposed amendment to the Constitution to gain equality based on gender, it has never been approved (ratified) by enough states to become a law
Red Power Movement a social movement led by Native American youth to demand rights to make policies and programs for themselves while maintaining and controlling their own land and resources
Cesar Chavez Cesar Chavez was an American labor leader, community organizer, and Latino American civil rights activist. He co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, later renamed the United Farm Workers union.
American Indian Movement (AIM) activist group founded in 1968 as part of the American Indian civil rights movement
Title IX (Title Nine) part of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 that guarantees equal participation for men and women in educational programs receiving federal assistance
United Farm Workers of America (UFWA) union of migrant workers led by Cesar Chavez; used boycotts and nonviolent marches to fight for rights of farm workers in the 60s and 70s
