| Tea Act | Act declaring that colonists could only buy tea from the British East India Company |
| Intolerable Acts | Laws passed by British to punish colonists after the Boston Tea Party. (Sent more British soldiers to Boston, closed down Boston Harbor) |
| Boston Tea Party | Event where colonists boarded British merchant ships and threw tea into Boston Harbor |
| Sons of Liberty | Groups of patriots who oppose British rule |
| Boston Massacre | Event where British soldiers killed 5 colonists |
| First Continental Congress | Meeting of Representatives from the colonies to discuss how to respond to Intolerable Acts |
