What is the environment? The surroundings.
What is climate? Climate is the kind of weather an area has over a long period of time.
What is land? Land is the shape of the land's surface.
What region is Powhatan from? Eastern Woodlands.
What climate is Powhatan in? Mild winters; hot, humid summers.
What land were the Powhatan on? Rivers, hills, mountains, coastland.
What homes did the Powhatan have? Wood frame houses with bark/reed covering.
What jobs did the Powhatan have? Fisherman, hunters, farmers.
What type of transportation did the Powhatan have? Walked, paddled canoes.
How did the Powhatan relate to their environment? 1) They farmed, fished, hunted. 2) They used trees for homes and canoes. 3) They gathered plants for food.
