Envelopes were not used in letter writing because They were considered a waste of paper, expensive, and hard to make
Colonists learned to grow corn from Native Americans
Corn was used to make Breads, puddings, and pancakes
Donuts, ice cream, and fruit pies Were common treats but not always tasty
