Globe A spherical or rounded object that resemble the Earth
Map A diagram representation of an area of land or sea that shows physical features
Key The table on a map that shows what each symbol means
Latitude The angular distance of a place North or South of the equator
Longitude The angular distance of a place East or West of the equator
Symbol An object that represents a physical feature on a map
Continent 1 of the 7 continuous expanses of land in the world
Country A nation that has its own government, occupying a particular territory
State A nation or territory that is under one government
Equator The imaginary line that is drawn around the Earth that is equal in distance from both poles
