Delta An area of land in which a river divides into smaller rivers
Peninsula A piece of land that is bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland
Canal An artificial waterway constructed to allow the passage of boats
Coast The part of the land near the sea, the edge of the land
Gulf A deep inlet of the sea almost surrounded by land, with a narrow mouth
Mountain A large natural elevation of the Earth's surface rising abruptly from the ground
Valley A low area of land between hills or mountains
Canyon A deep gorge, typically one with a river flowing through it
Plateau An area of relatively level high ground typically with a flat top
