| Samurai | The war class that would fight for the Shoguns in return for land and goods. |
| Daimyo | One of the lords that were vassals of the Shogun. |
| Bushido | Was the Japanese Code of Conduct. Expected to value loyalty and personal honor even more than their lives. That are also expected to guard their personal honor. |
| Shogun | Ruled the military government. The real ruler of the country of Japan. |
| Bakufu System | The feudal system of Japan until 1867 when it was abolished. |
| Zeh Buddhism | This included having to meditate for hours. Appealed to many samurai. |
| Amida Buddhism | You could say his name more than 70,000 times a day a when you die you could go to the pure land. |
| Seppuku | A ritual suicide that you would have to do for failing the Code of Bushido. |
| Kamikazes | Pilots that crash planes loaded with explosives into enemy battle ships. |
| Martial Arts | styles of fighting or self defense, such as modern day judo and karate that began in Asia. |
