Where did the Cahuilla live? California Desert
What are indigenous people? The first people to live on a land.
How much tribes were there? Hundreds, some uncharted.

What is an Indian Reservation? Picked out land for certain people.
Where did the Tlingit live? Alaska
What is a pot latch? A special feast, where the guests receive gifts.
What is irrigation? To transport water place to place.
What ocean was important to the West? The Pacific Ocean.
What is a totem pole? A wooden pole with animals and carved symbols.
What did tribes in Alaska live in? Igloos
What was the weather in summer for the Great Plains? Very hot weather.
What is a travois? A tool to carry meats and skin.
What animal did the people in the Great Plains rely on? Buffalo
What is a teepee? Cone-shaped homes that are easy to move.
What are lodges? houses made of wood covered with natural material.
Why was the Pacific Ocean so important? It provided fish, a very useful food.
What did the Tlingit eat? Whales, fish, and seal.
What was the weather in winter for the Great Plains? Very cold weather.
What did the Cahuilla eat? Desert plants
Why was buffalo so useful in the Great Plains? Buffalo was a huge source of food, warmth, and cloth.
