| Savanna | A grassy plain in tropical and subtropical regions, with few trees |
| Tribute | A payment made periodically by one state or ruler to another, especially as a sign of dependence. |
| Taxes | A compulsory contribution to state revenue, levied by the government on workers' income and business profits. |
| Population Growth | When the amount of people in a city or kingdom starts to raise. |
| Extended Family | a family that extends beyond the nuclear family, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives, who all live nearby or in one household. |
| Kingdom of Ghana | One of the three kingdoms that was located in West Africa. |
| Government | The governing body of a nation, state, or community. |
| Trans-Saharan trade | One of the main trade routes going from South Africa to North Africa and vise versa. |
