9. What is a value? an idea or belief that someone thinks is important
10. What does telecommunications mean? the sending of messages over long distances, sometimes using satellites

12. What is a commuter? someone who travels on most days to work or school
13. Why is public transportation so important in the Northeast? Many people live or work in cities, and there are many traffic jams on old, winding streets.
