Cotton Gin A simple machine that quickly and efficiently removes seeds from cotton fiber. Resulted in an increase in slavery.
Samuel Slater Setup one of the United States' first cotton mills.
Cotton Mill A factory that spins cotton into cloth.
Francis Cabot Lowell He owned the first plant to put all stages of cloth-making in one place.
Factory System A system that puts all the steps for manufacturing into one place.
