Map Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Map is a drawing of all or part of Earth's surface. Its basic purpose is to show where things are.
Compass Rose a tool on a map showing cardinal (N,E,S,W) directions.
Key list of symbols used on a map
City a large town.
Ocean major bodies of salt water that surround the continents.
