What is an autocracy? a form of government that puts the power of the government in a single person (citizens do NOT participate)
How is a president similar to a prime minister? the are both in charge of the military and the day-to-day operations of the country
How many political parties does Mexico & Brazil have? many political parties are found in Mexico and Brazil
What is a difference between a parliamentary and presidential democracy? The prime minister is indirectly elected. Citizens vote for a Member of Parliament (MP) and the MP with the most votes is asked to be PM (Prime Minister). In a presidential democracy the citizens vote directly for the President.
Which branch is can the Prime Minister be found? legislative branch or Parliament
Which branch can the President be found? Executive branch
Which democracy has the executive and legislative branches fused together? parliamentary democracy
Which type of democracy has a separation of powers and checks and balances? presidential democracy

Which democracy has a term limit that lasts until the citizens lose confidence in their leader? parliamentary democracy
What type of government? The president is very powerful. autocratic government
Who makes all the decisions in Cuba? their president ( dictator)

Do Cuban Citizens get to vote? Yes, but it is not a free elections --there is only one party (the communist party) and citizens do NOT vote for a leader.
How does citizen participation differ between Mexico and Cuba? Mexico has a democracy. This means people have the right to vote members of the executive and legislative branch. In Cuba, citizens do not get to vote for their leader.
