rights freedoms protected by a government’s laws.
profiteering the practice of making extra profits from goods in short supply.
mercenaries professional soldiers hired to serve in a foreign army.
war spies loyalists that would pretend to be patriots to gain information/secrets for their king.
traitor a person that betrays a friend or country.
Hessians German mercenaries that were paid to fight for England during the American Revolution.
canteen a water bottle used by soldiers and campers.
knapsack a bag carried on the back by soldiers.
