What did federalists want? Strong national government

What did Sedition act allow? John Adams could arrest citizens who criticized president or Federal government.
What were Sedition and Alien acts aimed at? To stop Democratic Republicans and sympathizers for French cause
What was America's undeclared war aimed at? At those who were against the Federal positions.
What amendment did Sedition and Alien acts violate? First amendment, freedom of speech
Who made Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions? James Madison and Thomas Jefferson
What do Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions say? States created the government so states could have a right to say whether or not they want to cancel a Federal law.
Why were Kentucky and Virginia resolutions ineffective? Only two states did it
What did amendment twelve do? Put president and vice president on separate ballots because Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr had the same amount of electoral votes.
In election of 1800, what did House Representatives do? Break tie between Aaron Burr (vice president candidate) and Thomas Jefferson after thirty five votes.
