What was the rebel that happened when they taxed whiskey? Whiskey Rebellion
Who was apart of the Republic Party? mostly farmers, and frontier settlers who favored the state governments.
Who was apart of the Federalist Party? wealthy and educated wellborn, favored strong state national governments
Could the National government control them? Why? Yes, because they proved that the Constitution was strong enough to the country.
Was the tax consent with the governed? Yes
What was the farewell note that George Washington said before he left office? Washington's Farewell Address
The country should not what? The country should not have political parties because they would split or divide the country
What was the act that sent immigrants or 'aliens' leave the country? Alien Act
What did the Sedition Act do? Gave John Adams permission to arrest and fine citizens if they said any criticism or hate towards the government or president
What were the acts that passed laws to stop the Democratic Republicans? Alien and Sedition Act
What Amendment did it violate? First Amendment
Who was it mainly aimed at? Federal positions
What were the two solutions made by James Madison and Thomas Jefferson? States have rights to nullify or cancel a federal law.
What will happen when Thomas Jefferson wins the election? destroys laws through regular means
What can only two states do? repeal the Alien and Sedition Acts
What does Amendment 12 do? Puts the President and Vice President on different ballots to be voted for separately
