guillotine a machine used to execute people by chopping off their heads
legislature the lawmaking body of government
executive the branch of government that enforces laws
tactic a plan that helps someone win a game or battle
neutral not choosing either side in a war
exile to send someone away from his or her own country
Code of Napoleon a code of law Napoleon passed that made all men equal in France
