Artificial Hair

The artistry of artificial hair in cosmetology.

Human hair wigs may be colored with a color rinse that lasts from cleaning to cleaning.
Modacrylic wigs are made from synthetic fibers.
Human hair wigs may be properly cleaned with liquid cleanser.
Human hair wigs should be cleaned every 2 to 4 weeks.
Wig styles are kept close to the head by using pincurls.
A long weft of mounted hair with a loop at the end is a switch.
A hairpiece with a flat base that blends with the clients natural hair is a wiglet.
When human hair wigs are dry-cleaned, it should be reconditioned.
To shorten a wig from front to nape use horizontal tucks.
To remove width at the back of a wig from ear to ear use vertical tucks.
The head black that is most suitable for all wig services is the canvas block.
Hand-tied wigs should be cleaned on a block.
When cutting a human hair wig, special care must be taken to decrease bulk.
