river a thin waterway that allows water to flow into a lake or ocean
strait a channel of water that connects two large areas of water
waterfall a place where water flows over a cliff
pond a small body of water that is surrounded by land
wetland an area of wet, soggy land with many pools of water
glacier a large piece of ice which moves slowly across the Earth's surface
volcano an opening in the Earth's surface which gases are released
mesa a flat-topped area of land, smaller than a plateau
cliff high area of rock with a steep side
