Term | Definition |

Autocorrect | Is a feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings. |
Clipboard | Stores items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office file. |
Copy | Word places a duplicate copy in the Clipboard. |
Cut | Word removes it from the original location and places the text in the Clipboard. |
Document Properties | Identifies the creator of the document, the date the document was created, its subjects and category, and keywords that can be used to search for the document. |
Go To | A command that provides a way to navigate through longer documents quickly. |
Navigation Pane | Allows you to navigate your document quickly by selecting headings, and pages, or by searching for text. |
Object Zoom | In Read Mode enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode. |
Paste | A command that then pastes the text from the Clipboard to a new location in either the original document or a new document. |
Read Mode | Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading. |
Replace | Formats such as a specific font color, bolding, or italics. |
Thumbnails | What page images are called. |
Wildcard | Characters to find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combinations of letters. |
