| Cape | A point or head of land projecting into the water |
| Cliff | A high, steep, or hanging face of rock |
| Delta | A nearly flat triangular tract of sediment at the mouth of a river |
| Hill | A naturally raised area of land |
| Strait | A narrow passage of water connecting two seas |
| Lake | A large body of water surrounded by land |
| Mountain (Peak) | A mountain summit |
| Ocean | A large expanse of sea |
| Plateau | An area of relatively level high ground |
| Sea | The expanse of salty water that covers most of earth surfaces and its landmasses |
| Valley | A low area of land between hills or mountains |
| Latitude | The angular distance of a place north or south of Earth's equator |
| Absolute Location | The exact location on Earth of a specific place |
| Equator | An imaginary line dividing the Earth into northern and southern |

| Canyon | A narrow chasm with steep cliff walls |
| Channel | The bed of a stream or river |
| Continent | one of the principal land masses of the Earth |

| Isthmus | A narrow strip of land with sea on either side |
| Mesa | A flat board topped elevation with one or more cliff like sides |
| Mountain (Range) | A series mountain ridges alike in form, direction, and origin |
| Peninsula | Land almost surrounded by water, projecting into the water |
| Plain | A large area of flat land with few trees |
| River | A large natural stream of water flowing in a channel to the sea, a lake, or another such stream |
| Tributary | A river or stream flowing into a large river or lake |
| Volcano | A mountain or hill having a vent through which lava erupts from |
| Longitude | The angular distance of a place east or west of the meridian |
| Prime Meridian | The Earth's zero of longitude |
