Immigration The migration to a new location
Imperialism control of a territory already occupied
Infrastructure the underlying framework of services and amenities needed to facilitate productive activity
Language system of communication through the use of speech, collection of sounds and understood by a group of people to have the same meaning
Latitude The angular distance north or south of the equator, defined by lines of latitude, or parallels.
Longitude the numbering system used to indicate the location of meridians drawn on a globe and measuring distance east and west of the Prime Meridian.
Meridian an arc drawn between the North and South poles
Mobility all types of movement from one location to another
Multiculturalism The policy of maintaining a diversity of ethnic cultures within a community.
Nation a culturally defined group of people with a shared past and a common future who relate to a territory and have political goals
Horticulture The growing of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Maquiladora Factories built by US companies in Mexico near the US border to take advantage of much lower labor costs in Mexico.
Microstates nation small in size and population
Migration A permanent move to a new location

Monotheism The doctrine or belief of the existence of only one god.
Multiculturalism The policy of maintaining a diversity of ethnic cultures within a community.
Nationality Identity with a group of people that share legal attachment and personal allegiance to a particular place as a result of being born there.
Irredenta a region that is related ethically/historically to one country, but is ruled by another
Intertillage two or more crops are grown on the same plot of land at the same time
Islam the religion of Muslims collectively which governs their civilization and way of life
Judaism It originated with Abraham and the Hebrew people.
