environment physical surroundings in which plants, animals, and humans live
natural resources materials or substances such as minerals, forests, water, and fertile land that occur in nature and can be used for economic gain
raw materials resources that can be manufactured, processed, or combined to create a new and useful product.
climate the average weather for long periods of time and in a specific region
irrigation the artificial application of water to land making agriculture possible
desalination a process through which water from oceans is turned into fresh water by removing the salt from it
reservoir an artificial lake where water is kept and stored so that it can be used when needed
nuclear power the energy that is produced when the nucleus of an atom is split apart or when several nuclei are joined together
