Social Studies

TermDefinition
Prairie An area of flat or rolling land covered mostly by grasses and wildflowers.
Drought A time of little or no rain.
Blizzard A snow storm driven by strong, freezing winds.
Hailstorm Drops hail, or lumps of ice, that can damage or destroy crops.
Tornado A funnel-shaped spinning windstorm.
Sod A layer of soil held together by the roots of grasses
