Geography & its effect on settlement and Greek life This caused ancient Greek communities to be isolated from each other, making it harder to communicate. It was difficult to travel over the mountains and the seas because there were many dangers. With this terrain, there wasn't much farmland.
Geography & its effect on settlement and Greek life continued This then lead to fights over land and resources. Since there was so few land and it was easy to grow, farmers mainly grew grapes, fruits, nuts, and olives. Few farmers would grow wheat and barley.

Colonization: reasons They did this because there wasn't enough farmland for many communities. Instead, they decided to consolidate into one.
Colonization: process 1.Consulted an oracle to see if their efforts would be successful 2.Gathered food, supplies, and took a flame from the town's sacred fire (voyage begins) 3.After finding a safe place with good farmland and harborers they would establish their community
Agora It is a public space in ancient Greece where assemblies were held for making decisions. Additionally it was also the main marketplace in many places.
