QuestionAnswer
Informed Consent When the patient understands the treatment and possible outcomes or side effects of the treatment
Noncomplient When a patient understands the treatment yet chooses to not follow medical advice
Symptom Subjective, or internal conditions felt by the patient, such as pain, headache, or nausea.
Problem-oriented medical record keeps track of patient's progress. Information included are database, problem list, education, diagnostic, treatment plan, and progress notes.
Source-oriented medical record Patient information is arranged according to who supplied the data-the patient, doctor, specialist, or someone else.
Active file files you use frequently
Cross referenced Files placed in more than one location, with each place noted in each file.
Records management System refers to the way patient records are created, filed and maintained
Tickler file file of notices that are reminders of things to be done.
Supplemental added to complete or make up deficiency
Etiquette Good manners
Enunciation Clear and distinct speaking
Pitch Property of sound that varies with variation in the frequency of vibration
Screen Gathering info reguarding a call before transfering it.
Routing list Specifies who is in charge and who calls should be forwarded to.
Matrix Basic format for scheduling
Legal record anything that could be used in court. Appointment books kept for 3 years.
Referral Recommendation to consult (the professional) person referred for a second opinion
Consultation Conference between two or more people to consider a particular question
Diagnostic tests x ray, radiotsotope, CT(w/contrast), mammography, aniography, etc.
