What did the Masters for the indentured servants pay for the servant's trip over to the New World. Also provided food, clothing and shelter.

What were freedom dues new clothes, tools or plot of land given to indentured servant who had fulfilled his service time.
What benefits did indentured servitude have? Provided labor to the New World, a way for the poor to get to the New World, and training for skilled labor.
Why did indentured servitude not work in the South? Could not provide enough labor for the large labor intensive plantations, and the labor was unskilled and provided no future.
Southern plantations needed another form of labor. What was it? slaves
