What was the Harlem Renaissance? A time when African Americans got together to share their arts and culture.
What machines came out and were popular in the 1920s? Washing and drying machines, radios, refrigerator, iron, waffle iron, vacuum, blender, kettle.
What were the blankets called? Hoover blankets.
What was the difference between the way the Hoover and Roosevelt handled the situation? Roosevelt had a more hands on way of solving the problem.
What was a shantytown like? Cold, wet, cramped, small,boring.
What was the dust bowl? It was a huge dust storm caused by humans doing too much farming. People often got lunge disease or got sick.
Who created jazz music? It was brought by African Americans.
