Spanish Exploration

VocabularySpanish uses
Conquistador/Conqueror A Spanish conqueror and Treasure seeker.
Caravel A small, fast ship with special sails that enabled it to sail into the wind and rough seas.
Compass The direction marker on a map.
Astrolabe A device once used by sailors to find out where they were by using the positions of stars.
Colonize/Colony A settlement that is ruled by another country.
Expedition A journey made for a special reason.
Spain/Spanish A kingdom in SW Europe , Including the Balearic and Canary Islands , Capital:Madrid.
