Sparta A city-state in the south central area of Greece known as the Peloponnesus. It has the greatest military power in Greek

Aristocrats Nobles, Spartan Citizens
Assembly All citizens over 20 years old were part of the Assembly. The Assembly passed laws and decided questions of was and peace.
Council of Elders Sparta’s highest court. Men over the age of 60 were chosen for life to serve on the council. It suggested laws to the Assembly.
Helots Enslaved people owned by city-states. They worked the farms for the aristocrats.
Periocei Merchants and artisans who lived in the village. They were neither enslaved people nor citizens.
