| Chancellor | Title often given to the head of government in a parliamentary democracy. |
| Bi-cameral | Having a legislature divide into an upper and lower house . |

| Presidential democracy | Citizens elect both members of the legislative branch and executive branch. |
| Parliamentary democracy | Citizens elect members to legislative branch-then members of legislative branch select the head of the state in the executive branch. |
