Armistice An agreement to stop fighting
Treaty An agreement between the countries after the fighting has stopped, that decides who gets what
Isolationism The belief that our country should not get involved in other country's business
Example of an Armistice or Treaty In World War I an armistice was signed in 1918 to stop fighting, but the Treaty of Versailles did not get finalized until 1919.
Example of Isolationism President Wilson thought that World War I was none of our business , until our ships started to get sunk, because it was being fought on the other side of the world.
Propaganda Posters and advertisements trying get people to feel a certain way.
Example of Propaganda World War I Uncle Sam was a famous piece of propaganda trying to get people to join the war effort.
