Representative Government a system where people elect delegates to make laws and conduct government

Alliance Partnership
Mercantilism a Country builds wealth and power by building it' s supplies of gold and silver
Diversity Variety, such as of ethnic and national groups
Apprentice a person who agrees to work with a skilled crafts person to learn a trade
Immigration When people move from one country to another
Cash Crops Crops that could be sold easily in markets in the colonies and overseas
Subsistence Farming Type of farming that only supplies enough food to meet the families need. Little food left over to trade/sell
Triangular Trade a trade route between three destinations such as North America, Africa and Europe
Epidemic Outbreak of diseases that affect large numbers of people
Militia a military force made up of ordinary citizens
Export To sell abroad
Import To bring in from foreign markets
Slave code Rules focusing on the behavior and punishment of enslaved people
