Types of Historical Evidence

Oral Tradition Spoken rather than written : 1. Legends 2. Myths 3. Beliefs passed on by word of mouth 4. Storytelling 5. Interviews
Ruins the remains of an object, typically an old one, that has suffered much damage: 1. Tombs 2. Monuments 3. Whole cities
Cultural Dating Getting information from by building on what is already known: 1. The Roman coin
Scientific Dating Gets the exact date. Done by doing experiments in a lab. There are many methods to do this: "Radiocarbon" dating.
