Semicolon Rules

Basic Rules to know for semicolons

Rule 1 use a semicolon to join 2 independent clauses whose ideas or sentence structures are related
Rule 2 use a semicolon in front of an adverbial conjunction used to combine 2 sentences
Rule 3 use a semicolon to separate items in a series when items themselves contain commas
