Archipelago Chain of islands
Delta Triangular area of lmarshland, formed by deposits of silt near the mouth of some rivers.

Penninsula Piece of land nearly surrounded by water
Slash and burn Farming method in which the forest and brush are cut down and burned to create planting fields

Plateau large level area raised above adjacent land
Terrace Farming A method used in hilly areas to cut edges into slopes to conserve soil and water for farming
