| water cycle | movement of water from earths surface into the atmosphere and back |
| evaporation | liquid changes to gas |
| international convergence zone | is the area of rising air near the equator |
| tropical cyclone | intense rain with strong winds that form over the ocean in the tropics |
| hurricane | cyclone that forms over the Atlantic ocean |
| tornado | swirling funnel of wind hat can reach 300 mph |
| tropical wet | combine hot temp. and heavy rainfall year around |
| tropic wet and dry | wet season in summer, dry season in winter |
| humid subtropical | year-round precipitation with mild winters and hot summers |
| maritime | mild winters,cool summers,were moist wind blow onshore |
| tundra | close to the poles, bitter cold and dry climates year-round |
| subarctic | climate have limited precipitation, cool summers, and very dry winters |
| semiarid | desert climate steadily sinking air |
| deciduous trees | lose their leafs in fall,temperate forest |
| coniferous trees | produce cones to carry seeds, they protect trees through cold dry winters |
| savanna | in tropical areas, scattered trees,park like land scape |
| ecosystem | group of plant,animals that depend on other enviorment for survival |
