Geography Concept

Word Definition
Absolute Location Exact location that is given. sentence: Where is the absolute location of Iceland.
Continent The Earth's important parts of the world. There are 7 main continents, in the world. sentence: Africa is one of the main continents.
Relative Location A relative location, that is related to the another location. sentence: Siri, what is relative location ?
Hemisphere Imaginary line that cuts the world in half and it also divideds the northern and the southern hemispheres. sentence: There are four major hemisphere in the world.
Equator An imaginary horizontal line on Earth. sentence: The equator passes through 13 countries.
Prime Meridain Zero degree line horizontally on the Earth.
Latitude The distance between the North and South hemisphere. sentence: Latitude, FATitude
Longitude The distance between the East and West hemisphere. sentence: The equator is the starting point for longitude line.
Climate The weather in a certain place. sentence: Type of weather, that is happening.
Natural Resource A resource that is NOT man-made. sentence: Oil is a natural resource
Population Distrubution The population of distrubution . sentence:It only occurs on how many people there are.
