Geography Concepts

Abosolute Location describes the location of a place base on a fixed point of the earth.
Continent the mainland contrasted with island.
Relative Location directions like north,south,east,and west help describes where one place is in the Relative Location.
Hemisphere a half of the earth ,usually as divided into northern,southern,halves by the equator or into western and easther halves by an imaginary line passing through the poles.
Eguator a corresponding line one a planet or other body.
Prime Meridian is a meridian in a geographical coordinate system which longitude is defined to be 0 degrees.
