Geography Terms

QuestionAnswer
Absolute Location It's when you use longitude and latitude coordinates to go somewhere.
Continent Earth's main land expanses.
Relative Location It's when you use places and objects, that are familiar, to get somewhere.
Hemisphere A part of Earth, like the Northern Hemisphere.
Equator A latitude line that splits the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere.
Prime Meridian A longitude line that splits Earth into the Eastern and Western Hemisphere.
Latitude Lines Lines that go East to West across Earth.
Climate The weather in an area for a certain amount of time.
Natural Resource A resource that is natural and not man-made.
Population Distribution When the population is spread out in a country, on a continent, and all around the world.
Trade When you exchange goods and/or services.
Modify When you or your community change something.
