Geography Concepts

WordsDefinitions
Absolute Location The latitude and longitude of a specific place.
Continent The worlds main lands. ( Africa, Asia, Antarctica, Australia, Europe, North America, South America )
Relitive Location Directions using your surroundings and roads.
Hemisphere Halves of the word, which are divided by the Equator. ( North and South Hemisphere )
Equator An imaginary line dividing the Earth into to hemispheres.
Latitude A horizontal line marking the distance of a place North or South of the Equator.
Longitude A vertical line marking the distance East or West of the Prime Meridian.
Prime Meridian A line of longitude.
